The True Face Of America Is Seen By How We Mistreat The Least In Our Society
By David J. Stewart | May 2013
1st Peter 5:6-7, “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”
If you want to see the truth about the type of people we are in America, simply take a look at how we treat the homeless (poor), inmates locked in prisons, the elderly in our nation and children in the womb.
- We murder our children in the womb. The dumpsters filled with dead babies shows our true face in the United States. What would each of those children say being murdered if they were old enough to voice their opinions? Would they thank their mothers for having them butchered? Would they feel loved? You know, just because the idiotic U.S. Supreme Court rules that fetuses aren't human beings doesn't make it true. The Bible says that God knew Jeremiah the prophet even before he was formed in the womb (Jeremiah 1:5). Biblically, all life comes only from God and children in the womb are very much valid people. Any society that disregards life in the womb, that culture is sicko, mentally-ill and spiritually of the Devil.
- Our prisons are way overcrowded and abuse is common nationwide. In the south, it has been commonly reported that prisons reach temperatures in excess of 100 degrees Fahrenheit and some prisoners have even died from heat stroke. Terrible abuses have been reported in Texas, Arizona, California and Louisiana. Convicted criminals are still people whom Christ loves and died for. They do have rights. America abuses the least amongst us in the prison system, treating them worse than animals, literally. A person who treats a dog the same abusive way that we treat prisoners behind bars would go to prison themselves. If you deliberately allowed a dog to die from heat stroke, you'd go to prison. God never instituted prisons, where a human being is locked in a cage like an animal. Animals should NEVER be locked in cages, and neither should any human being EVER be locked in a cage. God created all creatures to be free, not be incarcerated. It is a sin to lock men in cages. God's way is restitution and an eye-for-an-eye and a tooth-for-a-tooth. It was the heathen who invented prisons.
America's prisons are learning institutions of crime. The lie that prisoner's rights prohibit the preaching of the gospel to inmates is straight from Hell. Inmates ought to be required to attend daily Bible classes and hear lots of preaching. Brother Lester Roloff knew how to take a tough, punk, criminal-minded, rebellious youth and turn them around to serve the Lord. The preaching of the Word of God, tough love and a caring Christian family environment can change anyone's life for God. Brother Roloff was changing lives, which is why the evil, corrupt and Communist government shut him down. Like Brother Roloff said, it's not Constitutional law that they're enforcing; but rather, their own local policies. It's now effectively against the law to indoctrinate youth with the Word of God in the United States. The government will come after anyone who effectively changes children's lives for God, patriotism and family.
- Americans are infamous for sticking and abandoning their parents in nursing homes. Two-thirds of all nursing homes DON'T meet government standards. The elderly are often abused, mistreated, drugged-up and rolled into a corner in their wheelchair to rot. Their families are no where to be found. No one seems to care. What type of monsters have Americans turned into? Asian cultures care for their elderly, receiving the elderly into their own homes, making a place for them, and caring for them throughout their life. The entire concept of old folks homes is heathen. If we weren't so selfish and greedy in American society, we'd love and care for the elderly, children in the womb, prisoners and “the least of these” as Jesus taught in Matthew 25:40, And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.”
- The poor in our American society barely survive on the street. many freeze to death in northern climates. The homeless are often harassed, mistreated and abused by local police who don't care. Many of the homeless have mental, drug or addiction problems and need help, but there is no help for them. You have the haves and the have nots in America today. Any decent society would reach out to the poor and provide for them in one way or another. Most of the people on the streets aren't lazy bums; but rather, they are stuck in life and desperately need our help. Their brains are stuck. It's the same as people who live in filthy squalor in a home. How do people deteriorate in their minds to accept horrid conditions of filthy, stench and uncleanliness? Human psychology is such that sometimes people get stuck into a rut, and if that rut is self-destruction, they're in trouble. Every human being was created by God. The Lord died for all humanity, even the most vile and contemptible among us.
America DOESN'T care for its poor. Most people foolishly donate large sums of money to scam charities that pay 6-digit salaries to their CEO's, while MILLIONS of homeless people barely survive across the streets of America. You'd be angry if you saw the exquisite million dollar homes that charity CEO's live in!!! The average big name charity pays between $300,000 to $700,000 per year to their CEO. That's just one person, not including the spouse and other employees on the board of directors. That doesn't include the company car, paid vacations (which they claim as business trips) and all sorts of fringe benefits. Nearly every charity is 100% guilty of embezzlement (which is totally legal sad to say if they do it correctly). They pay no taxes. Many charities receive free water from the city. They get discounts on everything and freebies galore! In reality it's unethical and fraudulent. These are so-called non-profit charities. What a scam!!! Yet, millions of homeless people are searching through garbage pails for their next meal. Hell will be hot! What other groups of people qualify as “THE LEAST OF THESE” in our society? One of the woeful sins of Sodom was that they had abundance and plenty of provisions, but they ignored the poor and needy. Ezekiel 16:49, “Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.” Wow, what an indictment of American culture!!! We have not strengthened the hand of the homeless and poor. The homeless on the streets don't have an address to receive food stamps. What are they supposed to do to survive? All they can do is beg, borrow and steal.
The Bible teaches that we ought to care as God cares. Philippians 2:4-5, “Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.” The Bible teaches that life is short and we'll be in eternity before we know it (James 4:14). We are just strangers and pilgrims passing through here on earth (Hebrews 11:13; 1st Peter 2:11). Hence, we should redeem the time. Ephesians 5:16, “Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” Colossians 4:5, “Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.”
The Bible said that people would become very selfish in the Last Days, committing all sorts of sins against their neighbors, not caring, lacking natural affection, being phony and hypocritical, quitters and liars, judging and condemning, hurting others, and yet having a form of religious devotion. 2nd Timothy 3:1-2, “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy...”
As Christians, we should care about the individual as much as the group. I realized when I started this website that most people would go away angry or laughing, but I didn't make this website for them. I made this website with God's help and guidance to reach out to the INDIVIDUAL. It's that one person in a hundred that I am here to help by Gods grace.
“Without concern we're not Christlike. Without concern we're not Christlike. Ah, watch yourself. ... Now your greatest need as a Christian, and of every Christian, is a concern for lost and dying people. Without concern we're not Christlike. You have no claim to Christlikeness unless you're concerned about others. Without concern we're not obeying the Scriptures.”
—Pastor Lee Roberson (1909-2007), from the needful sermon, The Revival America Needs | Download
Jesus taught for Christians to reach out to the least of these (Matthew 25:40-45)—to seek the lost, to visit the prisons, to bind up that which is broken, heal the sick, feed the hungry, lead those who are astray, give drink to the thirsty...
Matthew 25:40-45, And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.”
Caring is the hallmark quality, character trait, of being a Christian who is right with God. I care, which is why preach THE TRUTH! The truth has never been popular. Those who preach the truth historically have always been ridiculed, attacked, persecuted, abused, prosecuted and murdered. The truth is frightening to many people, especially if you get too much too soon; but that's just the nature of the truth. You learn the truth a little bit at a time, grasping one concept before being able to understand another. Isaiah 28:13, “But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.” I try hard to break down complicated things into simple to understand teachings. The truth should be simple. I have come across some really confusing, deep, boring, mundane, and way-over-my-head webpages. I always write articles from the viewpoint of being a total beginner, providing links to explain what I'm saying.
God Cares About Little Things, and He Wants Us to Care Too
Most people have no idea just how ethical God is, and how much He does care, and the extent to which He thinks about other's well-being. I love listening to the Bible on DVD. When I bought the Bible on DVD, read aloud by Alexander Scourby, I began to hear and learn things that I had never noticed by reading the King James Bible. There's just something special about HEARING the Bible being read aloud. Does not Romans 10:17 say that faith cometh by HEARING!!! Yes, indeed it does! If you don't already have the King James Bible on DVD, please get it and listen to the Bible being read regularly. You will be blessed so much as I have.
Faith Cometh By Hearing the Word of God
Alexander Scourby Holy King James Bible on DVD (Signature Edition)
(Listen to the King James Bible while working, resting, or sleeping. I can't recommend listening to the King James Bible enough.)Here is one example showing just how much God cares. In Deuteronomy 22:6-7 God expresses concern over a mother bird and her young in their bird's nest...
Deuteronomy 22:6-7, “If a bird's nest chance to be before thee in the way in any tree, or on the ground, whether they be young ones, or eggs, and the dam [mother] sitting upon the young, or upon the eggs, thou shalt not take the dam [mother] with the young. But thou shalt in any wise let the dam [mother] go, and take the young to thee; that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days.”
This is amazing. It's amazing that the same God who broke up the fountains of the deep and destroyed all humanity and life in Genesis 6 (including all animals and birds), expresses concern and makes a law of kindness to protect birds. There is speculation as to exactly what God meant, but the context of the Scriptures clearly teach that God cares about life, even the welfare of a mother and her chicks in a nest.
When I read this Scripture passage I immediately thought about pregnant fish, and how they are often released to give birth to more fish. It very likely could be that God wanted the mother bird to be able to reproduce again, and demanded that she be released into the wild. I think that makes the most sense, but I am not sure. Whether that's what this passage means or not, it is certainly the ethical (right) thing to do to respect motherhood, whether it be human or animal. I do think that is what this Scripture is teaching, respect for reproduction in life. Look at all the endangered species in the world today, and how many birds and animals are extinct. It would certainly make sense that God, who cared to preserve His creation through the flood of Genesis Chapter 6, would be concerned about preservation of the species.
So if you are building a highway and there is a bird's nest in the path, God says to show respect for the animals and care for them. We see this truth evidenced in the book of Proverbs...
What possible connection can there be between showing kindness to bird's nests and eggs and little baby birds and God's blessing? It's because obedience even to the smallest of God's commands brings God's blessings, or punishment for disobeying in seemingly small matters. Jesus said in Matthew 12:36 that men shall give account on Judgment Day for every idle word spoken. Even our words will be judged. How much more will our hurtful words, gossip and sinful behavior be judged by God? The Bible teaches repeatedly that God pays attention to small details. God is concerned about animals. It is ok to kill animals for food and meat, as evidence in Acts Chapter 10, but it is sinful to abuse and mistreat animals.Proverb 12:10, “A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.”
That's not to say that it's wrong to kill rats and other rodents that carry diseases. The Bible teaches that we ought to show respect for life. Birds are innocent creatures and not a threat to anyone. It is quite amazing that God would actually make mention and establish a law, protecting birds (a great article on birds in the Bible).
God is a caring God. He is also a holy God and cannot dismiss evil and sin. This is why God sent His only begotten Son into the world to redeem humanity. When Adam and Eve sinned, the eye of their understand was opened. Since they now knew evil and good, they became responsible for every decision they made. This is why the world is in such a mess today, that is, humanity is suffering the consequences of men's evil, lust, greed and hatred. In short, people pay for their mistakes, and so do others oftentimes. If someone gets drunk, it's not God's fault when they run over your child playing in the front yard. It is not that God doesn't care, but that man is so evil. Don't ever blaspheme God because you don't want to admit that man is the problem. Ecclesiastes 7:29, “Lo, this only have I found, that God hath made man upright; but they have sought out many inventions.”
God is concerned for even the bird's. Jesus said that a sparrow doesn't fall without the Father knowing.
Luke 12:4-7, “And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him. Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.”
A sparrow falls in the lap of the Father, always. If the heavenly Father has a concern for a bird, then He has a concern for you. In the Pentateuch (first 5 books of the Old Testament) we find an incredible Scripture, where God expresses concerning over a bird's nest (a mother and her young).
If God is concerned about something so seemingly trivial, a bird's nest, how much more is he particular about his weighty commandments. If God is concerned about little birds, how much more important is man! God's compassion for cattle and mercy for birds is clear evidence that He cares. In Jonah 4:11, “And should not I spare Nineveh, that great city, wherein are more than sixscore thousand persons that cannot discern between their right hand and their left hand; and also much cattle?” We see God showing compassion upon Nineveh and their MUCH CATTLE. Jonah was upset, wanting God to punish and destroy the Ninevites; but God saw what Jonah could not see. Acts 17:30, “And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent.”
God's Thought and Ways are Far Above OursIsaiah 55:8-9 teach that God's thoughts and ways are far above our thoughts and ways, as far as the heavens are above the earth. The Hebrew word for “heavens” is shâmayim shâmeh and is dual, referring to the sky and the higher ether where the celestial bodies revolve. The Hebrew word for higher is gabahh and means “to soar, that is, be lofty.” Hence, God's thoughts and ways soar above the sky and stars of the universe in comparison to our limited, finite, and human understanding. When you truly grasp this truth, it is tragic and heart-breaking to hear a famous singer blaspheme God. It is very grievous in heart to hear famous comedians blaspheme the Lord jesus Christ. Oh, listen to me me friend, the Bible is true and this life is very short. You and I could be dead by sunset (Proverb 27:1). If you understand what Isaiah 55:8-9 is teaching, then you will trust God unconditionally. I am going to trust God no matter what happens, because I know that He sees all the things that I cannot see. My lord knows the way through the Wilderness, all I have to do is follow.
Here's the story of a Belgian man who was involved in a car accident at age 23. He was totally paralyzed and diagnosed as being a vegetable. He laid in a hospital bed for 23 years, fully conscious, but everyone thought he was a vegetable. His family would tell him to blink if he understood, but by the time he could blink, they had turned away. It wasn't until he was 46-years old that a doctor who hadn't given up on him developed an electronic voice box so the man could talk. Although still paralyzed, at least he can now communicate with his family, nurses and doctors.
What a tragic and shocking story. Can you imagine being trapped in your body, to where you can't even tell someone you feel loneliness, have an itch or feel physical pain? I can't imagine any worse hell on earth! It is difficult to reconcile such tragedies with a God Who is loving, caring and sees even the bird that falls from the sky; but it is a matter of faith in the Word of God. If you believe the Bible, then you must believe that God cares. 1st Peter 5:7, “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” Proverbs 3:5-6 warn against leaning upon our own human understanding, telling us to trust the Lord completely, and I do! I hope you do too! If God tells me to build an ark, I'm going to build an ark! Hebrews 1:2 tells us that God speaks to us in these Last Days through His Word. We have the completed Word of God. If we care, then we will keep God's commandments (Luke 8:15; John 14:15; 15:14; Philippians 2:21).
Conclusion
We have such a grand opportunity in these last Days to witness with the Gospel. As we approach the End Times, more and more people are hungry for the truth. Sadly, they're being indoctrinated by atheists and nuts who believe in alien abductions, some even claiming to be Christ. The need is great for Bible-believing Christians to do the work of God.
This is a story about four people: Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was asked to do it.
Everybody was sure Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when actually Nobody asked Anybody. This little story applies so much to Christians today. If not us, who? If not now, when? If not here, where? Nobody is getting the work of God done because everybody thinks somebody is going to do it, when anybody could have done it, but nobody did.
Isaiah 51:7, “Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings.”
The Problem Is Not The Presence Of The Negative, But The Absence Of The Positive
